I guess you try to touch the top of the squid but can only hop on one foot at the start. But if you hop around the outside until you hit the middle line and cross it to the other side you can run on two feet and prep a final attack from the bottom. From there if the defense pushes you outside the lines you lose.
Seems like a dumb game honestly.
