I was tense when the old lady wanted to go to the bathroom at night. I thought for sure something was going to happen to her. I was cracking up after her dumbass son got separated from her during the game then they showed him holding on to her tight for the next round lol.
Why tf didn't dude tell anyone what he saw frontman do in the room? Snapping necks like nothing.
This season was trash. So many weird characters. Felt like I was watching a parody of the first season. Only good new character was the sweet old lady.

Man I see people are kind of split on this season. It was dope as fukk to me. I love the characters and the angle does well for a second season. Was scared it was going to be corny, but they have some intense games and kills going on. Watching it in its original Korean form of course hits different and acting wise everyone is pretty phenomenal. Some great moments .i am more drawn in to this cast this season than I was with the first. This one Has darker tone to me . Feels authentic to the violence that takes place in the show.

No way in hell the tone was darker than the 1st season, this season was alot more light heartedthe first season had a overwhelming feeling of mystery, dread and hopelessness
not compaining of this season tho but the players in season one were more memorable

Finally watched season 2. It was missing the heart of season 1 where they made you care about the characters and thus feel something when they're killed off. Damn near every participant was annoying as hell. They also made the twists way too obvious. It was obvious that something was off with number 1 and I called the boat driver being shady from episode 1.
It's also doing that thing to fake tension by every single event or vote comes down to 1 second left on the clock or down to the last vote. Also that whole plan seemed dumb as hell protected by plot armor.

Another banger. It's not as good as Season 1, but this writer is special to be able to turn a series that was likely 1 season in his mind into a sequel due to the international sensation it became. As a fellow writer, I'm really proud of him and impressed.
My only problem with Season 2 is that there was a clear tonal shift in terms of characters. In Season 1, I'd say the only "cartoonish" characters were the crazy whore. Everyone else at least somewhat realistic.
Compare that to this season where you have the Marine side kick who survived rock paper scissors, Thanos, his sidekick, the son, etc. It felt more surreal and parody like than the first season. So it was a bit of a bit of an adjustment. Even the recruiter went full blown Joker status in Season 2. The shift in tone was definitely jarring, I spotted it quickly with my girlfriend and pointed it out to her. I feel vindicated reading so many of you say it here too.
Still loved it though, and while it FELT different, the shift was still funny and entertaining.
S1 = A+
S2 = B+

Season 1 was definitely darker.
One of my favorite comedic moments of Season 2 is when player 456 was about to start the red light/green light game and he realized that the guards took out his tooth tracker and the way the camera zoomed in his face and he said "I'm fukked

Did dude really think he was floating in the ocean with a gunshot wound for hundreds of miles before the ship Captain found him

I feel you. I looked back and season 1 and y’all are right that it’s darker overall and characters are probably better. I’m good with this seasons characters, It’s just something about this season that has a more disturbing tone to me and I think it just comes down to the games. It’s not as sharp as the first with the rescue mission aspect and the revolt. But something about the actual games hit harder to me. They seem more extreme and therefore feels a bit more sadistic to me. The one where they had to run into the rooms after getting they numbers together was
