Hide and Seek is one of the best games on the show, and then this season went downhill from there.

I think they made too many poor plot decisions and it felt like a waste of time to have season 2 and 3. I think they made an awful decision to make the games feature characters we're not invested in. The reason S1 worked well because we actually cared about the characters and in this season there weren't many characters to care for. The baby plot ruined this season and the final game was frustrating like why didn't the player push the button before making his threats. That part was so dumb and made the Gi Hun death feel pointless because it easily could've been avoided. Adding the baby to it was bad, but one thing I will give it credit to is it shows the VIPs run the game and everything is merely for their entertainment because they wanted to kill the baby before the gamemaster said make it a player.

I already had a feeling they were going to use this season as promotion for squid games USA when netflix announced the show. They should've saved that announcement for after the season concluded because most people knew that was coming.

That whole last situation the in the last game is stupid as fukk. This dude is left alive with the baby which is his and he threatens the main character like he is going to kill the baby. In what world do you not let the main character come across with the baby, push the button, than throw his ass off and "split" the money with your own baby....which isn't even splitting its all your money. Like I would understand the whole scenario if that wasn't his kid but it actually was so the whole thing is stupid as fukk. It was cartoonish and devoid of all logic.[/spoiler'

They did turn Player 333/MG Coin into a supervillain at the end there. That was a weird writing decision.
