The Official Teams I Rep/Teams I Hate Thread [Reps]

Wanted to make a thread where posters can come and display the teams the root for and why. Now, obviously most root for their hometown or home state teams, but there some like me who do not have such ties but still root for those teams.

Seeing that there are multiple sports and leagues. How much sports do you follow? And which is your favorite? You can rank em if you like.

For me...

NBA = College Football > NFL > MLB > College Basketball

Being born and raised mostly in the bay area. Everybody was a Jordan fan in the 90's. Golden State was cool and I think those 90's unis are some of the best, but I just didn't care because watching Jordan was and still is the greatest thing I have ever seen from an athlete. You wanna talk about being a stan, I once put the beats on a kid in 5th grade because he called black jesus a stupid 'n word'. Now im gonna be real, me and the kid i whooped are both white. If he had said it about another black athlete like Ken Griffey who i was a huge fan of too, I would've just looked at him crazy and prolly tell em don't say stupid shyt like that. I could tell that kid came from a fukked up home cuz that dude would always do stupid shyt like grab toads, put em in a plastic bag, and fling it in the air for fun. He's probably in some policy academy by now with his ways. But when he said that, it was like he was calling my mom a slut or whore and my fist balled up instinctively and i started whaling on him. Even when Jordan retired, I still stuck to the bulls. All of my friends back home went back to rooting for golden state, but Im the type of person who stays loyal.

College Football - THEE Ohio State Buckeyes:

Started in '97 when i played pop warner. My coach was from Ohio and a die hard fan. Even our pop warner uniforms was ohio st replicas. I just remembered watching tv with my dad and he was watching the rose bowl ohio st vs arizona st. I saw on tv and was like that's our uniform. Ever since then I followed them closely and college football in general. '03 national championship is still the best for me. I didn't think we could beat miami. I still think the pass interference was bullshyt, but ill take it. I guess karma caught us back when we got our asses whooped by florida and lsu in the chip in 07 and 08 . I feel so unworthy because I counted this years team out after va tech. Im never gonna sleep on em again.

MLB: Oakland A's

Teams I hate: Meshegin, NY Knicks, Roger Goodell

MLB - Yankees, Royals, Pirates
NFL - Miami Dolphins...but also Jets and Giants since I live in NY.
NHL - Rangers
NBA - Spurs, and Knicks..again because I live in NY. I did kinda start liking the Lakers but only because a lot of the bandwagon fans fell off once they started losing.
College basketball - Nobody really. I was a big Arizona fan back in the 1990s.
College football - Nobody really. Probably The U (Miami). I hate the Florida Gators and Ohio State. Also screw the Texas Longhorns. Part of me liked Mississippi after I read The Meat Market by Bruce Feldman.

NFL - Miami Dolphins...but also Jets and Giants since I live in NY.

NBA - Spurs, and Knicks..again because I live in NY. I did kinda start liking the Lakers but only because a lot of the bandwagon fans fell off once they started losing.

nba - spurs of course but i also watch OKC, DALLAS and bout to with the HAWKS. okc cuz i followed durant in college and they have pop relations from the spurs there that i liked, dallas cuz dirk is and respected him since he ever came in and hawks now cuz there coach was under pop and he groomed him for so long and makes them play like us. oh and i know my division also. i know bout memphis houston dallas new orleans

nfl- dallas and i follow whoever is in my division but i also watch packers cuz of my brother and chiefs cuz of my father and new england cuz of my sister

mlb - just rangers but dont watch mlb as often as i use too

soccer - i just watch anybody started to watch it overseas since its the number one sport in the world and

college b ball and football - anybody from texas and where i live at in el paso

Yeah it doesn't really make sense to root for the Dolphins and Jets given that they are rivals...but if they aren't playing each other I kinda like to see each team do well.

I'm a Yankees fan first, but I'm so critical of the team and I really hate their moves lately so I find myself rooting for smaller, lesser teams to do well. But I've been following the Royals and Pirates farm system for like 7 years now so I was happy to see their players coming through at the big league level.

I do have a soft spot for the Pittsburgh Penguins. Used to watch them a lot in person when I lived out there.

I don't hate any teams but my ex was huge Lakers, Steelers, and Michigan fan. Should've known it was never going to work with her.

I must say whatever feelings I had towards Michigan are dying...hope this rivalry makes it back to the top.

Well honestly I follow sports less and less these days.

I pay attention here and there but not like I used to.
I don't think I've watched a full game from beginning to end (without changing channels or walking away from the tv) in a few years now.

i wish i could give it up. seriously, sometimes i wonder why i bother watching when it can really fukk with your emotions. its the only reason why i still have cable. i don't watching nothing on tv except sports
