Nadal out here abusing the pace of play rules like usual when he's trailing. :unimpressed:

Took an eternity after the first set and held the match up; after a couple games in the second he took extra long on the bench; been pushing the serve clock to zero numerous times without warning (exactly what they didn't do for Kyrgios); oh, and Fowler is in the booth with his pom poms out :cape: for him at every turn for these bullshyt antics that nobody else gets away with. :unimpressed:

when the ump told him "fukk a towel, serve " :ohlawd:

was almost sure a couple of times Thiem was ready to choke but he held on

next to the GOAT, he would have the best chance to beat Novak

I'll never count Fed out until the day he retires. He's proven us wrong too many times lol
It would take a miracle this year, plus the GOAT hasn't defeated Novak at a major since 2012 Wimbledon. :snoop:

If he was playing crisp, I'd have an ounce of belief but he hasn't been dotting shots all over the court.

Call me naive but i think Rog can take Novak if he's serving well. It's not like Novak has blown Rog off the court and just a few months ago at the WTF, Rog won and helped secure Rafa's year end #1. He can do it....I don't think he will but it's not a foregone conclusion

That 40-15 curse is real it's happened thrice for Fed against Novak, twice at the US Open and the one in Wimbledon which was the worst :wow:

So there's that mental hurdle for Fed to overcome if he wants to beat Djoker tommorrow of course the body issues and form he's not been at a high level yet IMO

Fed played so damn well that day, better than I thought he would.

Yea man I think the 2011 USO and obviously Wimbledon hurts cause he woulda beaten that version of Nadal in 2011 (or maybe Nadal is inspired since Novak wasn't across the net) but that Wimbledon one HURT cause he HAD it..he HAD it. He outplayed Novak and Novak just so happen to just stay in the match enough.

But come to think about it, they've all "stolen" Grand Slams from each other over the years. Crazy how that has worked out in the end.

Wimbledon was the worst though because that's Fed's Slam just like the AO is Nole's and FO is Nadal's.

Fed skipped practice today. Honestly, he should just withdraw. There's no point in playing Novak at his best slam at less than 100%. He looked awful against Sandgren when his groin tightened up. He barely moved around. Sandgren just sucked so bad he lost. Roger going up against Novak looking like he did last match would be sad to watch
