Serena and Osaka lost in straight sets today. Halep was up a set when she got hurt and had to retire.

Man Nadal has looked terrible this clay season. I can’t with confidence say he’s the clear fav at RG.


Yes i know Masters events are harder since you play harder opponents out the gate unlike a Grand Slam where you play mugs the first rounds and can get into a groove (along with a days rest in between), but it’s undeniable he’s played bad basically this whole year

Coco in her first Masters 1000 semifinal at 17 years old. She's gonna be ranked at RG and after Monday she'll be the 4th ranked American which means she'll be in Tokyo this summer for the Olympics.

Barty was up a set on her when she had to retire due to injury, but that's still crazy impressive. Besides, she just beat Sabalenka in straight sets yesterday.

yea i was watching the match and Gauff was performing well. Her first serve just left her at the wrong time which was late in the first set. Well, like you said, take the victory and the seeding at RG, and hopefully she can get to the 3rd round at the very least

Man it was 1-3 in this set and Cittypass had like 7 break points, it felt like Novak was doing everything in his power to tank the match and get the hell outta there but Cittypass couldn’t convert. Whoever wins this match, I’d withdraw from the tourney and keep it moving. No need to play again tonight and THEN play tomorrow

I think Sissy got the goods if he can avoid the Big 3 in slams at their favorite surfaces (avoiding Novak at the AO, Nadal at the FO, avoid all 3 at Wimbledon) to be a multi grand slam winner. But like all these next gen dudes, they make winning harder than it has to be. Rafa should of lost in Barcelona to Sissy just like Novak should have lost today.

Basically if Novak doesn’t make the finals at RG and doesn’t win Wimbledon, then I think all Medvedev has to do is win 2 matches at both slams and he’ll overtake Novak at #1. Somebody said

“At worst, after Wimbledon Djokovic has 9323 points (meaning Rome SF or worse, RG QF or worse, Wimbledon SF or worse). At the same time, at worst Medvedev will have 9640, and probably more. So Djokovic really needs to win Wimbledon or maintain some points at RG to hold on to #1.”
