I mean, how did you ever expect this match to go a different way? As long as Meddy didn't hit half of his serves into the net he was always gonna dominate Felix. It's a dreadful matchup for FAA.

Yet somehow I’m not surprised. Blowing sets he should win is kind of his thing.

That’s how I felt going into it and even though I missed most of it I’m not surprised to see Medvedev dominating.

I think Medvedev is the only one that has the mental component to possibly give Djokovic real issues.

Need a straight sets Djokovic win tonight. But, he'll probably lose the first set, and then win the next three.

His game fell apart at Tokyo which is rare but happens. Remember he took that first set 6-1 so when he's on Zverev is food for him.

It's not about really about being dominated, it's about Felix just not being able to keep his unforced error count down, too many ill advised shots.


He can go toe to toe with Medvedev for power and even get cheap points on his serve but in the pressure moments he tends to fold, had two set points and couldn't hit a decent serve close to the lines.


I think he may need to see a sports psychologist because he has the tendency to fall away too easily, rarely wins a match where he doesn't win the first set. There's a lot of talent there but he needs a lot of refinement and mental improvement.
