yea it's looking like it could be something special for Rafa this year...if Med ain't got nothing for him on hard court along with no Novak...points/chips gonna really pile up
then you got clay season, & even though I still think he should lessen up on that schedule...he probably wants to rebound from last year
then after that, he'd have to be the favorite at Wimbledon too
tho grass may trip him up some but he gets Wimbledon....he'll get the calendar slam

If she can at least get it 1-1, I think the conversation is at least more understanding than if not. I think she was down 0-3 before going to the umpire last set, so she's actually done pretty good since that extended reprieve (the topic on if she shoulda been given that is gonna be one of the bigger ones)

I think its impressive she reached the highs of 2021 considering her mindstate and I think its a shame she is where she is now because of em. Most nikkas in the sports I watch can play up an equally powerful negative emotion (revenge, spite, etc) to get past the yips, but she don't got that kind of heart. Idk what you do

Yeah I got to catch a couple games in that second set, she looked..close? from what I saw. I imagine the first set it was just a total trainwreck so at least she got some composure back. I dunno what's the solution for her with "get tougher" probably not in the cards and extended rest obviously not getting her where she needs to be

man listen...I'm not completely cold to what Naomi is going through, however Serena & Venus faced a lot worse heat than this and won in the face of it.
Naomi has to be honest with herself and whether she can mentally handle this stardom or not...because at a certain point you can't keep missing huge chunks of the season and expect to win matches...or be in the spotlight and not have hecklers
