Zverev already looks demoralized :pachaha:

He just doesn’t have the forehand and the all court game to win
He doesn't have that extra gear.

I know Fed isn't gonna coach but damn, Zverev could use a mini-camp with him to diversify his game, especially shot making and decision making. How to dictate points and not be so vanilla. Get comfortable being more aggressive and pushing the envelope.

Painful way to lose that set but Sinner hasn’t looked beatable at all.

Alcaraz needs to get his act together cause he’s the only one who can stop Sinner right now

He can’t “out tennis” Sinner and it never felt like he seriously was going to win the 2nd set at any point.

He needs to just grip and rip like Versasco/Soderling and go for broke and hope to steal a set

What could have been with these guys:

Had verdasco not switched his FH grip/technique for more top spin and robin not catch super mono both could have a major W or 2

Welp. That’s that. Zverev’s cooked.
Sinners just on a different level. Power, accuracy, mentally tough, best PEDs…

I enjoyed this tourney on both sides.

I can’t out it into words but you can SEE the dynamic in how tennis being played, more specifically on the men’s side, is going through a change again with the next/new gen. They aren’t content with being pushers when shyt gets tight, they actually go for it. When it comes to winning the majority of the Grand Slams over the next 3-5 years, that 27-32 year old age group is DONE for.

Tsitsipas, Zverev, Medvedev, Fritz, Ruud, Tiafoe, Rublev group will combine to never win no more than 2 GS until they all retire. None of them are winning the FO or Wimbledon as that going to go through Alcaraz and Sinner and the HC will go through Sinner and Alcaraz.

The 25 and under players now seem to be a bit more athletic and aggressive too. They go for their shots. I can see Draper, Fils, Tien, Shelton, Perricard, Fonseca surpassing the previous gen just off aggression alone.

I can see Shelton having a Wawrinka type of career if he cuts ties with his father

Sinner is currently that guy in Tennis
On hard yeah other surfaces not so much

Weak from Zverev, still think Sinner shouldn't even be playing right now. What he's achieved since testing positive twice is tainted to a degree in my opinion
