The #1 and #2 ranking has been a big talking point. But you gotta just blame the 90s generation for all of this

They were supposed to be competition for the Big 3, steal some titles away from them. Also were supposed to at least somewhat put speedbumps on Carlos, Jannik and the rest of the 2000s Tennis generation. Zverev, Tiafoe, Fritz, De Minaur, etc should all be ashamed of themselves. Medvedev on hard courts might be the only guy to give the top 2 players some resistance

Thiem woulda been the one but that injury killed him. One time slam winner, AO finalist, 2 time FO finalist, and gave hell to the big 3 no matter the surface or event.

Besides him, Zverev still the biggest disappointment. Even if he does so happen to sneak a Grand Slam (which i’ not trying to minimize AT ALL), there’s no reason he should be slamless at this point in his career.

When Thiem shortened his forehand...he elevated and it was only a matter of time...hate when injuries rob us of talent like that
