Nah come on its really not a similar situation

Each of the WTA majors is currently held by a different player and they each have multiple major titles; the ATP titles are held by two guys

There's like five legit WTA contenders for Roland Garros rn whereas everyone is gonna be shocked if someone other than SIncaraz wins, and depending on how Carlos' wrists is Jannik might be a lead pipe cinch

The only wildcard in the WTA is Coco when her serve/forehand is consistent for an entire slam tournament. Outside of that, it's still a two headed monster. Until further notice, Iga winning Wimbledon was a fluke

The ones I do think can put a dent in the Sabalenka and Rybakina is the next crop of young ones in a couple years. Adreeva, Mboko, and maybe Jovic

Carlos out of Rome and RG?!

Due to wrist/arm injury... oh shyt don't let this be another Del Po/Thiem type wrist issue

He's had quite a few injuries and he's only 22

Said before but his playing style will not hold up well over time, I think there's a good chance he'll be one of those players that shine brightly initially only to flame out over an extended passage of time.

A big shame for him and the tour, Sinner getting a lot of luck.

Probably going to have to change up his groundstrokes to compensate too. Awful news but smart to play it safe
