personally serena >> graf to me..serena's achievements as a doubles player dont get factored in enough.
only true debate is with navratilova imo. her career was ridiculous..i think serena at her best takes her down though its hard to really transplant martina into this era with tech and accurately know if or how much better she would be than she was...and likewise with serena going back then.

like I said in another thread. She'll be 34 at the end of the year. I'll go out on a "limb" and say she'll win another slam this year. 21 slams at 34 and I TRULY believe that if she reduced or revised her schedule she WILL be a top 20 player for the next 5 years which she'll be closing in on 40. I doubt she'll play or even have ANY motivation to be a singles player at THAT age.....but this era is kinda "weak" if we're being honest

This is one of the most talented eras in WTA history and it's not close but Serena is on a level that no woman has reached. I remember when teenagers use to dominate that WTA. Hingus for example.

Brehs, my mom really wants to watch that finals match from this morning. Is it gonna replay on time warner? I got directv and it's gonna replay tonight on the tnns channel but moms don't got directv.

You sure ? From memory, Serena won her first Grand Slam before Venus (USO 99 where she defeated Martina who just beat Venus in the semis) and I'm pretty sure she Venus was mad at that. I remember a pic of her in the stands kinda angry (while her mom and pop was happy) when Serena won. Venus might have been the first to come to light but Serena was the first to win big and, imo, by the time she won that USO, Serena was already a name by herself.i miss 1st and 2nd slam serena
