Good to see Djoke back after these weird slam exits. But damn I miss 2004-2006 Federer. That nikka was lethal. Even 2008 Nadal and 2011 Djokovic weren't that nasty.

Nadal and Djokovic werent even in their primes yet, he looked lethal against average players

Federer waxed everybody. It took talents like Safin or Nalbandian going nuts for him to lose, and even then in classic matches. If you don't think 2005-2006 Fed would demolish anyone on the tour right now, I don't know what to say. He already wins so much these days when his movement is compromised and he's old.

Federer went 173-9 from 2005-2006

Back then, it was a shock when he had an unforced error. He painted the lines EFFORTLESSLY in almost every match like a cyborg. I have never seen anything even close to that before or since.

With Nadal and Djokovic at their absolute peaks, you can see the effort they exert during their matches. Federer glided across the court, never seemed to break a sweat and was always in the right place at the right time.

Breh like i said, up against average players, we saw how that went out the window when Nadal and Djokovic came in to their primes. Cant deny them boys stalled Fed for like a good 5 years.

Felix with his first top 20 win over Pouille, straight sets too :leon:. Didn't even have to play that great since Pouille was spraying errors all over the place and couldn't keep up with FAA's serve.

Tiafoe close to being seeded at US Open too, black excellence rising :blessed:.

Zverev looking scary though might be ready to make the next step in a major if Fed/Nadal/Djoke aren't careful.

Watching him vs Medvedev and he's in a battle but has a chance at winning (edit: the breh lost a heartbreaker on his birthday..could see the pain his eyes :mjcry:), his game has the potential to be ridiculous.

-already can serve 130mph
-great movement, both offensive and defensive
-willing and good at moving in and finishing points at the net
-dictates points off both wings and has good feel on the drop shot from playing a bunch on clay

weaknesses right now are being prone to errors because of playing such an aggressive style right on/inside the baseline..

Going to be so entertaining watching his game develop. If he wins tonight will be interesting to see how he competes vs Zverev which could be a must-watch match on center court.

Also Tiafoe washed that giraffe Raonic and my boy Schwartzman took out Querrey, good day for tennis :wow:

This kid Tsitsipas is giving Djokovic everything he can handle and then some. Up 3-0 in the third.

I think that kid Tsitsipas has next. I don't know how the draw works out, but I hope he plays Zverev in this tourney. :ehh:

Edit: That's the next match. :leon:

Tsitsipas came back down a set and 2-5 in the second to beat Zverev. Youngest player to beat three top-10 players in a row since...Nadal in 2006. :wow:

If he beats Kevin Anderson in the semis, he'll be the youngest ever to beat four straight top-10 players.
