To add to what y'all saying. I give props to the big 3 for sure.. but damn the next generation is sad

Take this years wimbledon for example...thiem, dimitrov, zverev, tsitsipas all out by 2nd round. Wawrinka, roanic, monfils, isner caught early Ls too. I dont know what the mental road block is but the young guys cant compete in the grand slams. But like an earlier poster said, when it does happen it will be the US open. Nobody out the top 3 is winning wimbledon or RG for the foreseeable future. Novak and Roger are heavy favorites for Aussie too by far.

Thiem gave Nadal the match of the year at the US open last year. I think he's the most ready to take the leap. It will take a favorable draw and hoping 2 of the big 3 knock themselves out. Dimitrov time has passed. Raonic too. I dont believe in Zverev at all. Kyrgios needs medication. Tiafoe hasnt stepped up. Tsitsipas seems a little overhyped right now, is he even better than Felix?

The reason why none of the non-Big 3 have made that step up is because they dont really have to. These players get paid so much being in that next tier that there is no big push or need to be great.

Just to reach the round of 16 in just playing each major, a player earns $266k (2018 US Open), $260k (2019 Aus Open), $274k (2019 French Open), and $223k (Wimbledon 2019). That's $1 million and 23 thousand dollars in just winning 12 matches at the right time. There is no need to be hungry in the tennis world (or most levels of pro sports ) overall anymore. Until that mentality changes, Fed, Joker and Nadal are gonna keep eating.

But for not one of these motherfukkers to be hungry? Somebody's always born competitive. Andy Roddikk had more nuts than these fools.

She lost the last year of her prime having the kid

I just don’t know if she has enough left to finish off a grand slam tournament anymore

Serena's movement just fell off too much. Fed doesn't move like he did in 2006, but it's not that different than him in 2010, so I don't think it's hurt him much versus anyone but Djokovic (who would find 04-06 Fed a nightmare to play on hardcourts). Serena looks a whole different person on the court versus her 2002 era, where she way more agile and cat-like.

Fed not rocking Nike never looks right :francis:

cosign. I like Uniqlo but his Uniqlo kits look horrible. They use to bless Novak with some nice kits.
