They've never played at the US Open. They've been one match away from playing each other 6 times I believe and one would lose before it could happen:
08 and 09 (Nadal lost in the semi's to Murray and Del Potro)
10 and 11 (Federer lost in the semi's both times to Novak)
13 (Fed lost in the round of 16 to Tommy Roberdo)

Yeah I got to thinking after my last post and realised they hadn't met at US to my memory. I'd fancy Federer on this surface.
