To an extent its true, a lot of these guys have already been figured out by Djok, Fed and Nadal. Of course there's matches where their opponent plays above their level but then it's a question of can they maintain this for the whole match. Shapo played an incredible match against Djokovic yesterday but couple lose games and that was that.
Shapo is gonna be a monster in years to come though, I think it's either him or AA to become the absolute best out of this new generation.
Haha no doubt man I'm just talking based on raw talent, Shapo to me is the most like Federer I've seen. Serve, forehand, backhand are all money and he has all the shots. Just needs to become more disciplined and willing to not swing for every ball plus cut out the double faults.Im not gonna crown any of the young guys til they take a slam

I never really thought that about Grigor, his backhand is so incredibly mediocre and he lacks the mentality. They billed him as baby Fed but you can tell he was made to play like Fed to his detriment whereas the likes of Shapo is all natural.

He's a likeable guy but yeah he's not a killer and unfortunately for him his game maxed out quite a while ago.

yea, the USO final last year showed me that he is someone who doesn't easily fold even though he looks like he's about to die with every passing min
It's because he plays like a grinder even though he's 6'6" but he also has limited power. There's minimal pace to his shots. He plays like the tortoise and the hare race. He plays quickly but methodical. It's weird.
