I dont see Med’s level dropping. The USO court suits his game better than the AO which is why the last 3 years he’s had success on the North American HC swing during the last leg of the season
AO uses GreenSet (use to be Plexicushion until 2019 which before that was Rebound Ace up until 2008) which is medium/fast speed while the USO uses DecoTurf which is slower

It's the serve and how fast he sets up to serve, gives Novak very little time to get prepared.
But once Novak breaks once he will have a bounce in his step, Medvedev needs to not drop serve and win straight sets otherwise Novak will smell blood from one break
