Monfils' loss hurts. I'm such a fan of this dude and he has all the tools to win Grand Slams physically in this era, but he's a headcase. He still plays way too passive and wastes points. Eventually he wears himself out with all that running way behind the baseline. I hope someone can get through to him and get him to be more aggressive and use that power he's got. Winning with defense is only gonna get you so far.

You'd think the Tennis Channel was going to be all alternative and cool instead they are just like everyone else, showing a lopsided Nadal match from the start and not even flipping around cause there are 3 other good games on.
Serena finally gets into tough territory. Lucky it's Vinci and not Errani she has to face.. though she may be facing her in the semis. Her and Pova are the only ones that I think might stray from normal for her.. let's see.

I watched the game live and honestly, Isner deserved it.
I didn't know Harrison and he's a good baseliner with good lift on the forehand, solid backhand and really good serve. Well, I didn't see the first two sets but from what I watched, Isner showed some heart, defended with passion (that rally at 5-5 in the fifth
) and he was far more creative (dropshots, volley) while Harrison is the typical baseliner relying on his forehand to win points. So basically, Isner really surprised me, I thought he was just a giant with a serve but his forehand is really efficient (thanks to his reach) and he returns very well (above all on his backhand when he "blocks" it). He's really complete from what I saw even if his backhand's still the weakest point of his game.Had to talk about Querrey too. Dude is so much fun to watch, I will follow him from now on ! :hyena:
All out attacking player, great power, goofy attitude and the feeling he gives no fukk at all on the court. LMAO. His first set was godly with winners all over the place
But Simon's a frail frenchy with impeccable stamina. I still don't understand how Simon pulled that win but seems like Big Sam tired out and was then a little less clinical, less efficient, less powerful... And with Simon who never surrenders it's crucial to be on top of your game from the first to the last point. Dude is a tick who plays all in rhythm. Breath included.
