here he goes, encouraging the fukkery

Let me find out he’s another
Scamming ass Mofo

Federer fan here but I can't let this slide how they're trying to do Djokovic.

That NYT article including its title is some sensational BS. Novak "admits" only that it was human error by his team that made his document state that he did not travel internationally the 14 days prior to his arrival.

The article insinuates that there are still important questions left unanswered but Djokovic states plainly that he did not receive the notification about his positive test result until the day after the medical document gives the time/date of the positive result. Given that the time of the positive result on the medical document is after 8 PM, it would not be surprising if he did not hear about it until the next day. They insinuate that he got the result at the time the document states but they provide no evidence for why they believe that would be so. It is a clear bias against him and the paragraph right before it shows why: because "It was not the first time Mr. Djokovic has had to apologize for dismissive actions he has taken during the pandemic. In mid-2020, as the virus raged in Europe and elsewhere, he held a tennis tournament after which he and several others tested positive".

In other words, they want him to be lying about this because he has dared to not have the attitude about Covid that the NYT would like.

Poor journalism.

This is a very generous take.

Why though? Djokovic admits that attending the interview with the journalist on December 18 was a mistake. Nevertheless, it is a Serbian matter and has nothing to do with his dispute with the Australian government. Why is the NYT trying to look for deception in the Serbian matter when it has no bearing on the Australian dispute?

The Serbian government and his folks been riding for him. That was clearly a shut up this dude violated your own rules which carries penalties for up to 3 years so how are talking about Australia is discriminating when you would handle it much more harshly? I mean it’s not that complicated.

The bigger laugh is you taking Novak at his word that it’s “human error.” Because realistically that’s all this entire argument hinges on and a vaccine skeptic doesn’t have any credibility in that matter. He’s repeatedly not shown any caution. Like you would have to be an extreme Novak supporter or just anti-whatever to actually take him at his word. Most of the world isn’t so I don’t know why you’re putting it on the Times when the majority of the world thinks he’s full of shyt.

You're speaking like the success of his application hinged on the question whether he had travelled internationally in the last 14 days. Can you provide evidence that it did? In his statement Novak states that they have filed additional information to correct it so it appears that they believe the success of the application does not hinge on him having travelled internationally. Again, what makes you believe that it did and what makes you believe they purposely lied about it?

Also, if their application hinged on him travelling internationally in that period, why would they have travelled during that time. Are you saying they were not aware that they were not allowed to travel internationally in that period in order to be able to enter Australia?

let me tell you something about Novak...when a couple of years ago, he brushed off serious allegations against him for match fixing and ties to the mafia by saying they asked him to do it and he said "no and have a good day guys"...I been knew dude was funny style.

but for a sport that cares a lot about it's "image", I'm sure they underbelly is amongst the worst in all of sports

The rules are the same if you came from Spain or Serbia, there was nothing to gain from lying on his form.

You keep saying Novak said this like you can’t read the same articles as the rest of the world. Moreover, human error isn’t an excuse. Ultimately, you are responsible for the information you provide. There are articles in every magazine on the standards man and exactly why he ran into an issue. The only reason his decision was overturned was because he didn’t have a fair opportunity to represent himself. The merits were never challenged. Go to some international office and be like my fault the homies filled this out and see what they say to you :deadrose:
