I believe Marat Safin is still a member of the Russian government. I wonder if there is some sort of tie in there. On one hand I'm surprised he couldnt finagle something but on the other I doubt he is any sort of darling to the ATP with how he behaved on the court during his career

as of right now...yea

game looks incredibly complete for an 18 year old (serve is the one glaring place where some work can be done)...but mentality/fight is right there with Rafa/Joker...at his current pace, he'll be top 5 in the world in no time
