Actually felt the quality of that match doesn’t touch their Wimbledon final in 07 and the AO 09 final. The shot making in those finals were :wow:

it's a great match but I do feel it gets the "GOAT" tag due to some of the peripheral stuff surrounding the match...you had the score of the match which on paper makes it look great, then you had the previous 2 years of Fedal finals and the "3rd being the charm" so to speak, and aesthetic of the night time ending which did look great with Rafa holding the championship at dusk with all the flashbulbs going off. It has everything needed to be the "GOAT" match from the high level play but also some of the storytelling aspects to it too.

sidenote...I do miss needing actual cameras to take pics and the flashes that went off with em...shyt made everything more epic

Hubie in danger of losing in the 1st round

Alcaraz clearly isn't that comfortable playing on grass yet.

Djokovic looks like a guy who hasn't played in many matches recently. Which, you know, he hasn't.

Novak might've been in more trouble against a more competent field considering the lack of match play, age, & wear & tear
