She said it would be 5 to 10 minutes because security was negotiating with the protestors trying to get them to leave and she said “why (negotiate)? it’s not a hostage situation just get them to leave”.

There've been quite a few tennis matches this year interrupted by climate protestors. My guess is tennis is still seen as an elitist country club sport, so they think this is the one to protest at.

They know going straight to Washington DC takes way more guts and has a higher probability of being physically assaulted by law enforcement
