joker is goat like klitschko is goat

"When it comes to world title defences and his reign as world champion, Klitschko holds the longest cumulative days as heavyweight king - 4,382 days - as well as holding the most wins as unified champion."

but we all know that klitschko's record is because ali, foreman, norton, lewis, holyfield and 'em had more competition :hubie:
Grudgingly, I disagree with the analogy. He’s beat nadal, Federer and Murray at least 4 times, respectively in GS finals.
Klitschko essentially beat tomato cans…
Aesthetically, I’m aligned with Fed, but objectively you cannot disparage Slobodan Djokovics greatness. It is what it is.

2 more slams and Fed will be Sampras status to Djokovic and that gap could get even wider. Think how crazy that is:wow:

Djokovic doesn't win every year, so this argument makes no sense. For example, back in 2021 do you really think Dominic Thiem winning got more viewership than Naomi Osaka?

No it probably didnt but when hes in the final i would bet the mens final is doing far better numbers...

In general, yeah, but the US Open has had a lot of years where the women's final attracted higher viewership. The fact the men's final is on the opening weekend of the NFL is definitely a factor, but the women's side has regularly had American women in the mix while the US men have been a disaster since Roddikk.

Serena and Osaka attracted eyeballs here; Gauff now has the potential to carry the torch.

Men's tennis has benefitted from long standing stars; women's tennis as a whole is unpredictable. If a few women established themselves and were consistently in the mix, year after year, it would help a lot. Some of them win a bunch, then retire early.

Before the last decade, most women were done by 30 as they wanted to start a family and have kids.

I really can't believe Serena is opening her mouth about Halep, when Serena is CLEARY tone of the most obvious cases of using performance enhancing drugs we've seen in women's tennis.

Is there proof of any of this? I don't think this thread needs speculation.

No, and I'm not saying she's ever tested positive for anything, but I believe it's just as obvious as Barry Bonds. Not going to take anything away from her as she's the greatest female to ever step foot on the court, but I think you'd be naïve to think she's never used anything.

I was kinda wondering why you would speculate wildly like this, but it dawned on me that Serena awarded another Wimbledon title means she's tied with Novak at 24. :russ:
