Tommy Paul has the defense to hang with Alcaraz in some stretches, but he just lacks the offense to make Alcaraz pay
He's a grinder but you can't outgrind Alcaraz. Gotta take chances and Tommy isn't built like that.

That was a tough match. Muchova played really well; Coca was just better.
Coco's serve and forehand were very solid. She looked comfortable with her fundamentals, even in tight spots. That should be worrisome for the rest of the tour.

Medvedev's definitely having a meltdown soon and/or slamming his racket. Dude looks utterly defeated already.
I wish he'd retire and become a commentator. I think he'd be the next McEnroe.
A Medvedev vs Tien match is so predictable. Medvedev is so stubborn and wants to just stand back and hit at the baseline, and that's where Tien excels at. Tien just bullies him from the baseline and gets Medvedev angry at life smh lol

Medvedev only has himself to blame by not trying to get a more well rounded game beyond just trying to trade rallies from the baseline and try to hit aces
