I feel like they were setting up a bunch of things that they let unravel with no pay-off whatsoever.
I expected the research on adrenilene to lead to the Big ambulancee driver dude getting his hands on some and injecting his underground wrestler... that seemed like the most logical tie-in for why they were showing both storylines... but now with the simp doc gone from the jew hospital and the nun off trial the entire adrenilene and wrestling stories seem to have been filler (except to show how strict the jew hospital was).

You go to remember that Opal is from overseas and her gripes with American culture is that it's not inclusive. She speaks freely without a filter because she comes from a place where race relations weren't as bad

Algernon is usually not willing to force the issue as much because he knows the deal. At the same time, he pushes his professional boundaries because of his accolades, the time he spent overseas in a different climate where he got a taste of equality and the fact that he grew up with the Robertsons kind of shielded him from alot. Look at how shocked he was when he found out that the board might not approve of him going to the new hospital

This show shouldn't be in any danger of being cancelled. Cinemax is happy with its numbers. It's growing. It's well liked by critics and it has Soderburgh behind it. I think it gets at least gets 4 seasons. Unless Soderburgh wants to do another show. But it seems like he loves this series.
