Neither Taika nor Gunn knew that movie was gonna end with Thor leaving with the Guardians.

And Taika didn’t really have a story for them to long term be in his movie. But he also didn’t want to ignore it like it didn’t happen breaking continuity.

So he went the path he went to show them and then give them a reason to gonw

I didn’t really need a story for them as it is Thor’s journey at the end of the day, but their presence was lacking big time. It felt like a fukk you to the dynamic Thor and the Guardians established earlier on in Infinity War. Like they were there just to be there.

Tony Stark tapped into his suit from India in Spider-Man: Homecoming and had better presence than these guys.

Thank God for Gunn.

I finally watched this movie a couple weeks ago and it honestly wasn't that bad, in my opinion


Maybe it's because I had lower expectations due to hearing a lot of bad reviews, but I didn't hate Love & Thunder.


It was a cheesy, sometimes cringey, wacky film, but it worked for me.


It was surprisingly emotional (especially at the end with Jane's death and her whole cancer battle)


Russell Crowe as Zeus was hilarious to me


The women around Zeus were beautiful


Christian Bale did fine as Gorr, IMO. He was very creepy.

The kids part was cute.

All in all, it wasn't bad to me. But I can understand why a lot of people don't like the film

in retrospect, for all the hate this movie took, i don't think it got enough for the kid angle. the fukk were they thinking giving us Heimdall's son? who gives a flying fukk about that? it played into Gorr's hacked up storyline, but man, they really fukked his whole deal up. meanwhile people are like, "they did the goats too much." attacked the wrong shyt, imo. and they walked on eggshells not to shyt on Jane Foster... who sucked. Jane sucked. the love story parts were actually done really well, but her as Thor was corn city.

they hacked it to death. i guarantee it flowed better as originally constructed. there's gonna be a massive exposee about phase 4/post covid mcu one day b/c every project was like 33% as good as it should've been
