Would an announcement be necessary if all he is doing is buying ROH library...I dont think that's much of a big deal to fans? Even if he said he's on HBO MAX.....Why is Tony going on national TV today to say that? This is a guy that doesn't show his face on TV at all but this is the announcement he is going to break protocol with?
I think the BIG picture would be to Announce in the middle of the ring that he baught ROH and that he is going to mail out the paperwork that night......then on the big screen there's a video of Cody saying he acutally put in a offer for ROH and he is the new owner!!!! Lolol straight jack the whole WWE / WCW angle. That would be gold and the biggest work in wrestling since forever seeing as everyone said Cody is WWE bound.

The other thing that has me doubting this is a deal with HBOMax: normally streaming/entertainment news like this isn't broken on a live TV show. It's generally announced via press releases or interviews or broken through sites like Variety, Deadline, TMZ, etc.
