I remember seeing a stat showing the starting 5 was actually pretty good. It's just that the bench sucked so bad, that the team would keep losing. But I haven't watched many games this year and I've been a fan since day one. Raps will lose fans with the Leafs being good again.

The starting lineup Is excellent

Just that they can't play 48 min

I would keep bargs just for offense off the bench

And sign a bunch of defensive minded players for the second unit

This team will be a playoff team next year. I don't see how anyone cannot think that. This year was bad...and despite all the BS, injuries, trades, and robberies by the refs still ended up in the 9th/10th seed.

The starting lineup as of right now is pretty solid. and will grow together(they are still young) and can compete in this league.

the bench needs some retooling though. Get rid of Kleiza, and AA for starters. grab a "specialist" or two(a 3 point shooter) and the bench can be decent

Fields, bargs(or his replacement if he is traded) ross and acy are decent compliments off the bench.

The biggest problem for this team right now is coaching. They need to get a coach that knows how to use the tools he has and not some lameduck retard trying to push square pegs in to round holes.

Definitely a playoff team next year. Frontcourt needs an upgrade. Bargnani can't share the floor with Valanciunas, it makes us too slow so he's got to go unless we keep him to be an overpaid backup C, and we don't get enough rim protection from Johnson/Acy for that to work. Andrea's gotta go for the simple fact that we need more speed/defense/rebounding from the 4 next to JV.

I can't overstate how much Jonas improved from game 1 to game 82 this season. I was at both and many in between. The kind of expansion in his offensive game he's shown usually takes a couple of seasons, with work through the summers. He's going to be a 14 and 7 guy next year at worst, and see a lot of double-teams.

Backup PG is a glaring weakness that has to be addressed, hopefully by someone that can push the ball. Watching Lucas struggle to dribble against pressure was one of the more painful parts of this season. Our fast break ground to a halt whenever Lowry sat. Nate Robinson, Beno Udrih, Will Bynum and a bunch of others are out there. Sign one of them.

This was the first season Lowry/Gay/Derozan/Valanciunas played together. Rudy didn't start the year with us and JV was a rookie. They showed improved chemistry towards the end of the season and are the foundation of this team. We'll be in the playoffs next season.

Looks like BC might be on his way out.

MLSE just hired the former CEO of AEG (which owns the Kings, Galaxy and part of the Lakers) to be their new CEO.

From here: Maple Leaf Sports & Entertainment Ltd. | Tim Leiweke appointed President and CEO of Maple Leaf Sports & Entertainment (MLSE)

Looks like he's a basketball guy too.

Mr. Leiweke has an outstanding track record of growth and success in a professional sports business career spanning more than 30 years. Before moving to Los Angeles to join the Kings as President in 1996 (becoming President and CEO of AEG Worldwide in 2001), he served as President and CEO of U.S. Skiing. Previously he spent four seasons as President of the NBA's Denver Nuggets, where he also played a leading role in the development of the Pepsi Center. In 1988, Mr. Leiweke was the first employee hired by the NBA's Minnesota Timberwolves, serving as Vice President of the team as well as handling naming rights, marketing and sales for all events at the Target Center, before moving to Denver in 1991.

Hopefully he is going to make his mark with the Raptors right away.
