I agree on the Browne/Reem part, i'm not mad at them stopping it when they did because Alistair is a known chinny fighter and he was clearly out .. . but that fight really coulda been stopped earlier when Browne was turtled up taking unanswered repeated shots. I can admit i've got sour grapes about the fight but I hate the "intelligently defend" yourself phrase because its up for loose interpretation depending on who is watching what.

what do you do with reem now tho matchup wise? Gonzaga? Big Nog? he's in a real odd spot now.

I almost wonder if Lauzon had a bad weight cut or an injury, dude never just gets beat the fukk up without at least trying to stop it from happening. Mike coulda hit him with crane kicks, tiger knees and E Honda slaps if he'd wanted to

:ohhh:

Isn't there legit bad blood there?

Or Overeem vs Frank Mir in a loser gets cut match

He needs to leave the Blackzillians too

Ugh Reem and Shogun lost. Faber won. I was depressed that night lol

Reem needs to get some chin implants and I think Shogun is done. His knees are nowhere near 100%. Too many wars and injuries

i agree that those guys would probably beat a healthy brock (except cormier, i dunno about that one)...but his health definitely did take a toll on him and we never saw him really develop into a fighter. i will say he did pretty fukking well in mma for a guy who spent a long time in "sports entertainment" and was like 10 years removed from being an actual, legitimate, dominant wrestler though. if he came up nowadays and went from college wrestling star straight to mma...his stand-up would've been better, he'd be a lot more comfortable being hit (which was his biggest problem imo, his chin was good but he just would lose his shyt when he got tagged), he just would've been a way better fighter.

and shogun is larry holmes status. it's not that ufc rules don't cater to his style. that's a total cop-out. the lack of soccer kicks is hardly the reason he's losing fights. he's got a ton of wear and tear, he doesn't stay in good shape, he has no takedown defense (and everyone and their grandma knows how he's gonna try to sweep) and even when he keeps it standing, he usually still takes a beating and his iron chin keeps him upright. he'll still be a tough fight for anyone, pretty much, but i think his days as a legit contender are done.

Cormier would beat Lesnar easily. He's better on the feet and on the ground.

Lesnar did do very well, especially when you consider his circumstances. But, he was still overrated. It's not what he could've been, it's what he was.

No, the ref was a jerk- Anybody else would have stopped the fight when Brown was getting pounded. Why didnt he give Overeem a minute to recover?
Dana knows it was a BS gift - I hope Brown gets destroyed by the next person he fights:birdman:

Not sure what happened to Lauzon- its like he didnt even try

After the fight, sounded like his home town were cheering for Johnson :lolbron:

Browne was moving [or at times, trying to move] and he was blocking a good portion of the shots, while the Reem was badly rocked and blocking punches with his face. Since, Browne proceeded to tKO the Reem, I think it's safe to say it was a good non-stoppage. If the fight was allowed to continue, the Reem would've been completely out cold. He also did not complain about the stoppage.

Johnson was mean as fukk in that first fight. Gave Lauzon the bully treatment for 15 minutes. Disappointed with that Overreem loss cause I was sure he had it. I wonder if it's arrogance that keeps him from winning or is he just not that good.

Chael vs Rua was looking like a fun grappling match really entertaining and wish it would've been longer. First time in a while watching UFC sober and it was way more interesting.

It's not arrogance. He's a great fighter with major flaws [his chin, lack of striking defence, cardio, heart, fight IQ, etc.]

I thought Reem was hurt n rocked from the 1st kick that was only partially blocked by Reem but looked like part of Browne's foot snuck under the gloves n caught Reem on the button. I was only dude screamin in bar for Browne to attack Reem he walking rocked. 1 kick later, i was gettin dapped up by every1 at da bar. reem needs to go back to japan take dem roids and make wha ever lil money he still can.

It might be best for him to leave the UFC [he might get cut soon actually] and do kickboxing and MMA overseas. He's popular over there, will make pretty good money beating up mediocre opponents and won't have to worry about drug testing. A good situation to be in.

Yeah the only reason to bring Reem over was for some ratings much like Kimbo Slice, and once Kimbo was shown to be mortal he had to go, and sadly its time for the same with Reem. He can move back home to europe, join back with his Golden Glory team and get that euro cake n start a cycle of pure roid n hgh combo asap. I will gladly watch your 1st K! fight return and be giddy with joy to watch you run thru your poor victim.

Kimbo was a freakshow, Overeem is a skilled fighter with major flaws in his game. Two different situations.

Was a skilled fighter, sadly the many skills that I enjoyed in Reem I haven't seen in the UFC. The old Reem would mk a guy pay for standing still in front of him like a big target. Now, he's jus over hyped, overpaid shell of himself. Let Reem go back to K1 destroy some scub, and then have dem russians setup a retirement fight between him and Fedor.
