Monifah can walk through a mall in 90% of the major cities in North America without someone asking her for an autograph. No way should she have an Unsung episode. That's almost like giving Gina Thompson or Nicole Wray their own episode.

The only song I remember she made was "I miss you". I'm literally begging for a Toni Tony Tone' episode or at least Another Bad Creation. Nobody asked for a Monifah episode.

she wasn't a big sales singer. she was one of those people that you tune in to watch kill it on BET, that didn't get many spins on MTV. I don't remember seeing monifah on MTV at all. maybe the o.g. "i miss you" got play. I dunno.
her style was a bit too black for the mainstream and didn't reasonate that much with hip-hoppers that dipped & dabbed in r&b.
but still, shes not unsung material. if she would've kept her pace for a few more albums, then sure. but nah.
she had more than one hit.....its crazy to me though that touch it was a bigger hit than i miss you..but the touch it video

Unsung needs to get its act together. They putting anybody on there now. Kwame wasnt Unsung either. They just some artists that came and went. No big deal
