they can't get their hands on that much archive footage to do their shows (that hurts the shows they're actually good at).

I can't judge shows like Born Again Virgin because at least they're learning from their mistakes (they promoted the shyt outta that show). I haven't watched much of it so I can't say if it sucks or not. TVOne otherwise just comes off low budget and they have to recognize that. They're trying with Unsung (they've stepped their guest interview game up) but show me more than Soul Train footage and stock photos of Snoop Dogg and NWA

i'll take the lack of clips over a politically-driven viacom doc any day.

its the closest thing we'll get to a glossy unauthorized biography.

edit: they aired jay-z' unauthorized biography.

They should give a dude like Corey Holcomb his own show. I'm sure creatively he could carry it on a low budget.

I remember they had that trash ass show "Who's that girl". They had Tatyana Ali on there. They wasted money on a show that they should've know wasn't going to work.
