Honestly depending on the model of you car it's one of 3 things.

-Coolant leak could simply be a busted radiator hose and clip
-Could be a bad radiator which means you need that and the hoses replaced anyway
-If the coolant and oil mix could be a busted head gasket (your car is as good as done) cheaper to just rebuild the engine

Either way it should be going to a mechanic ASAP, if your engine overheats you can kill your car

NVM saw you got it fixed, was it just the radiator hose? 550 is fair especially if they back the work.
They said the radiator was cracked. Didn't say the hose. I got a new one actually...not fixed like I initially said.

Got a new one...ended up costing about $550 with a warranty on it.

This vehicle is starting to Be more trouble than it's worth.

My "service engine soon" light came on yesterday. I went to AutoZone in Advance Auto to try to get a free diagnostic but they're not doing it because of Covid19. Every other place was to charge me at least a $130 just to diagnose it.

How long have y'all driven with the light on?

I'm thinking about getting a certified pre-owned later this year since I've had so many issues with this vehicle over the past couple of years. There's $117,000 miles on it but it's a 2007.

:russ: @Skooby did you end up taking that “basic mechanic course” like that dense fakkit @King Frost suggested?

:russ::russ::mjlol:
Lol. Nope.

My alternator went out this summer so I had to get that changed.

If anything major happens I'm done with it. I'm just going to get a new car or a certified pre-owned more likely.

:russ: Yeah, breh. It’s an 07, y’all had a good run.

:shaq: I’d highly recommend you get either a new RAV4, CRV, or Rogue. fukk pre-owned.

:banderas: The new Rogue with the peanut butter seats.
