There will be no parking at MetLife, plan is for everyone to take a bus or a cab to the matches.
:dead:

???

There’s a rail station at MetLife that is very experienced in handling high capacity crowds

There’s also bus service throughout NJ and from NYC

It will be fine —have you ever been to MetLife before ?

I haven't been out there since MetLife went up but I've read about that station and there's no way it is going to properly handle most people going there by transit instead of most people coming in by cars.

That's why they're promising buses every 30 seconds!

They've been trying to prepare. Throwing quarterly block parties right where the train lets out, having big viewing parties when Messi plays at MetLife, and ish like that. They also throw random events like food festivals and ish every weekend of the summer, so their busing situation is somewhat organized (but those crowds aren't close to what we'll see during the Cup).

The biggest issue with MetLife events has always been getting to parking spaces. I'm guessing that's why they're trying this switch-up, even though I'm not sure anyone can be prepared to handle a World Cup crowd.

It's all fine by me though. I live right by the stadium, and I'm more worried about my work commute.

Man...I had no luck in the 2 FIFA lottery draws. I missed the notification for the day the "last minute" sales went live. Checked out the official FIFA site for the June 12 Canada game in Toronto and the only tix available were three thousand dollars per ticket ($3,000.00). :what:

Even on Stubhub, the Ghana vs Panama game had tickets starting at $700.00 per, and that was the lowest I saw. :francis:

Congrats to the brehs who got tickets, but motherfk FIFA and their greedy ass price gouging! :pacspit:

Infantino described the market for World Cup tickets in the U.S. as “very special”, suggesting “no one complains” about ticket prices “when you go to a concert or an NFL game”.

When challenged on that point, Infantino replied: “Maybe, but it’s the market.”
