I was looking to get the Amazon Fire TV but as I started searching I found some devices that already have XBMC installed which is my whole goal is to get XBMC on my main TV in the house. Does anybody have this device? Matricom G-Box MX2 Combo Dual Core XBMC TV Box 8GB Android 4.2.2 + Special Edition XBMC w/G-Mouse II [NEWEST VERSION]. If so let me know how it is?

Most definitely I need something that's going to be easy to use so my wifey can use it. She isn't the most the technical person. I am but even then it took me a minute to learn XMBC just on the PC. Installing XBMC for Fire TV looks even more complicated to me

How y'all get movie plot summaries to show up on aeon NOx?

it depends on what view you use.Some of them show it already.The one i use(showcase) you have to press up and it will show the summary

after you press up

you can also watch the trailer if you hit enter while the summary is on the screen

Also have you bought a vpn to protect yourself ?

I heard a lot of great things about the MINIX neo x7 .
for one thing its a quad core dual band unit with external antennas

i have a g- box clone , and I am impressed, but it spools and lags sometimes when starting movies and shows with wifi - when its wired its great I just don't like cables laying around.

got it fully loaded from the link below- they had it on sale for $64 with free shipping when I bought it
- the next time they put it on sale , I recommend it, get it for a starter unit, helluva lot cheaper than an HTPC

its the midnight gbox 2 , made in the same factory but they put different tops on the case because technically its a droidbox ( UK version same specs)

Just ordered this off the power of this thread and this post in particular. Been thinking about buying a htpc but this seems like a cleaner option and after some light research I'm convinced there is a strong enough community for it to be a viable option for me. Good lookin on the info. Ill post here again once I've got it setup.

I Just hook the pc to the comp .

HTPC is the best/fastest but it can be expensive, and i think it would be too much power to be on all day. Android boxes seem okay, but i don't think they would have the same kind of support that a pc or raspberry pi has, because they're so many of them (i could be wrong here). Although pc is the best/fastest i went with the raspberry pi model b because i wanted a small device that was built to be on 24/7,1080p as well as analog input (still got a sdtv in my room, hd in the living room tho ), support just in case i'm having trouble with my device, and tolerable speed (when i finally overclocked it i went from to ). I Haven't had a cable box in my room since i purchased it about a year ago. It's not hard to set up if you have a little bit of computer knowledge. Now i gotta get the fam to do the same and get rid of vision for good.

And almost forgot. When it comes to XBMC/Openelec. MillhouseVH has THE BEST BUILDS (Gotham). He constantly releases updates with bug fixes and new features that won't be in the beta of Gotham, and his builds seem a bit faster imo.

What's the best add on to catch UFC events that are played live on Fox Sports 1 and 2? I get Fox, so I catch those events and I usually go out to watch the PPV's. I've been downloading them after they air the next day, but I hate having to avoid the internet just to avoid spoilers.
