Los Angeles has a bid for 2024. It'll be almost 30 years since it's been here if they get it.

I never been a big Olympics person, but I would like to go and see the track races at least once.

anyway, i feel like we hear about this prior to every Olympics or Olympic-style event these days. it'll work out, i'm sure...but the aftermath is what'll be even worse. between this, and the mess created in 2014 for the World Cup, it's insane out in Brazil.

When I was in an international economy course maybe 5 years ago the professor couldn't stop raving about the financial possibilities and potential growth for Brazil and I felt like I had been hearing that for years.

Now look at this mess

When you combine a socialistic approach to capitalism, extremely corrupt public officials, rampant discrimination and racism in all walks of society, as well extreme social inequality, its only a receipe of disaster. Like the US, Brazil is a state that rose to prominence on the backs of slaves. The spirits of the ancestors unjustly killed by the demonic founders of Brazil will ultimately lead to doom for that country.

The fear with every Olympics since 2004 has been the stadiums won't get built in time and terrorist attacks...

With Brazil you have out of control violence due to the financial crisis, Zika virus, a disgustingly polluted river that is holding events and the usual stadiums won't be built in time...

I don't know if this has been posted but recently a shootout happened on the ONLY main expressway to the Olympic stadium...
