You see where I'm coming from, breh. It's like....the only way to stop the madness is just buckle down and stop being yourself. I don't know why American youth are so set on expressing themselves and succeeding. Didn't their mamas every teach them to keep their heads down.

I cant tell if you agreeing or disagreeing but i never understood why good smart black kids try hard to fit in as "thugs" or appear thuggish especially in a big group of young blacks. Good idea, but what got Oscar Grant killed? and Sean Bell and the many other black men who get slaughtered by police? I've heard plentyyyyyyy of stories of my black male friends getting pulled over, they say "sir" "please" "thanks" and they still get haggled and made fun of by rude cops who think that they are GOD. It's crazy....

Young folks always want to seem older and it's natural for dudes to want to flex their masculinity. I'm not saying it's the best way to present yourself but we shouldn't fear the law. This is especially true since law enforcement has proven time and again that they are far more lethal than the kids sagging his pants w/ a joint and a couple fake bands on instagram.

Very true. You can do the right thing and still lose your life. I've been pulled over and the cops have just taken my weed and smoke it. No ticket. Just a straight up...we're taking your shyt.
maybe we should teach our kids to START reaching for the guns. I'm not trying to seem hopeless because I'm really not, but it's really looking like there's no way out right now. I suppose I'm just trying to brace myself.
