If you look at most movies and TV shows aimed at women, the male characters are obsessive, negligent, manipulative or straight up insane. People dont notice because of the acting and the music and camera work and their desire to see someone who is good looking on the outside as someone deserving of empathy, love and forgiveness. Look at the movies and books that most women grew up with:

Beauty and the beast- the beast is a manipulative kidnapper

The little mermaid- the n1gga the main character likes literally eats people she would've known and her crazy ass trades her voice(the thing shes known for) for legs she can't even use.

The notebook- the main guy literally threatens to kill himself if the woman who is on a date with another guy does not agree to go out with him.

Titanic is all about a rich woman slumming for some gutter sex with a guy who may or may not be a killer.

Is it a coincidence that in the hunchback of Notre dam, the hunch back is a thoughtful, kind, loyal man that ends up not getting ANY romantic attention despite showing clear intentions to smash the female character?

It goes on and on. This is why men get caught up in the metoo controversy, they think if their ugly asses try to pull some movie style "romance" they'll get women

Then they act confused when they get told to kick rocks, are put on blast via social media or taken to court.

People who are good looking live in different worlds. Often they think they got where they are because their mouthpiece is good. No, it's because they have no fear of failure, and recognize that the more they try the higher their chances of getting chosen are. It's really not that deep.
