I remember hearing that Sticky is really from Toronto, and moved to Queens damn near right before he started rapping. (basically the same exact story Canibus was accused of)

This is all I know about sticky:

He and his cousin, Fredro Starr, were both members of the hip hop group Onyx, releasing their first album in 1993. The two acted together in Clockers. Often works with Redman, Omar Epps, Method Man, Michelle Phillips and Fredro Starr. Is a very good and close friend with Method Man, and played an extra with him in Boricua's Bond. Joined rap group Onyx in 1992 and when not acting is still working with them to release an album he hopes to be better than the ones from their Def Jam days. Sticky Fingaz has release two solo Hip Hop albums and has toured the world with his group, Onyx.

Plus Fredro is working on something with layzie bone for an upcoming album of some kind.

They were halfright about sticky being a barber, yeah he he was a barber but that was just it, no bleached hair or gay azz nicknames just a young kid trying to make a buck: Peak Street Magazine, Sticky Fingaz Interview

The I in Team
It actually makes me sick that sticky never had a more successful career. Dude was talented lyrically and had so much fukking energy. His kirk jones album is a personal classic. Onyx first album made me feel like my bedroom was a mosh pit. Slam, shiftee and throw ya gunz are classic songs. It's crazy that in hindsight I appreciate them more.
