Yal have to be bored af or just thirsty as hell to play this game if you gonna sit around and watch 30 minutes of somebody else playing it.

trust me when i tell you everyone at psx wanted a piece of this game...didnt know the demo was 30 mins, but that explains why the wait was 3-4 hours and why they shut the line down hours earlier before other games.....

anyway, i didnt get to play and i'm not watching this vid (since it's the same one), but i caught bits and pieces of others playing....the game is more fast paced than they've been marketing....also, it seems they're going for the uncharted 2 transition between gameplay and cut scenes...the game has serious potential....i'm copping 1st day cause ready at dawn makes damn good games to me and i expect this to be another one, but if others waited for reviews, i wouldnt be surprised...the game has hype, but it's more of a 'wait and see' hype; unlike no man's sky which has a 'gotta wait to play' hype....

Man PLEASE.

Explain how The Last of Us has one of the GOAT campaigns/story telling and a solid multiplayer?
How about Uncharted 2?

Why not have coop or a horde mode? This game's campaign better be AMAZING, that's all I'm going to say.

i can explain: naughty dog has experience at this while ready at dawn doesnt...it's a difference to go from making a psp game to making a AAA ps4 game....if this goes well, i fully expect them to include co-op and/or mp in the next game, just like nd did after uncharted 1....and just like that game, i think the story, gameplay, and fun factor will be good enough to get ready at dawn a sequel...cause no one at psx complained about the game after they got to play it....they seemed satisfied, happy, and wanted to play more of it.....

Make a multiplayer focused game, people complain about the lack of single player.

Make a single player game, people complain about lack of multiplayer. Can't win with people :yeshrug:

It's good that companies focus on one or the other. They can leave the bullshyt, tacked on multiplayer shyt out and use that effort to deliver a good single player experience. Most devs can't do both seamlessly and shouldn't try to be honest

From gameplay impressions, they can't get anything right in this game :scust:

My post was directed at the complaints about the lack of multiplayer.

Vids don't ever really give me good impressions of Gameplay for any game

The Order has really good graphics. No-one can deny that. That’s very common for a new franchise on a new console (even if the PlayStation 4 is a year old now) and we can totally understand why it was a priority. But after having played it, what we don’t understand is why so little effort effort has gone into the gameplay. We don’t just mean in the sense that it’s been overlooked but that the developers seem to actively resent its necessity.

All we know about the story of The Order is that it’s something to do with an ancient sect of knights who battle werewolf-like monsters. And it’s now the 19th century but everything is more technically advanced, especially in terms of guns – because this is a third person shooter. There’s also something about ‘rebels’ that we assume is going to lead into some sort of heavy-handed class commentary, although that’s the only element of plot that the demo actually touches upon.

The rest we just half remember from previous previews, and as ever with video games it doesn’t make a jot of difference to the moment-to-moment gameplay. Except to explain why everyone has enormous moustaches and English accents. (Although the attempts to mimic Victorian style dialogue aren’t very convincing, and beyond the visuals the period tone isn’t maintained particularly well.)

The demo level revolves around infiltrating a Zeppelin that itself has been infiltrated by rebels. As a result the first half of the stage is stealth-based, as you try and sneak up behind apparently innocent guards and stealth kill them with a QTE to the ribs. The problem, or at least the first one, is not dissimilar to The Evil Within, in that the camera is very narrowly focused and it’s actually quite hard to see directly in front of you unless you stick yourself to a wall and peer round it.

Enemies though can seemingly see for miles, and the second they spot you they will kill you instantly and unavoidably (ditto if you mess up the timing in the stealth kill QTE). Except when they don’t. Sometimes they seem to look straight through you, before obligingly wandering off and allowing you to stab them from behind. It all seems unsatisfyingly vague, horribly basic, and with about as much dramatic tension as an episode of Peppa Pig (no offence to Peppa intended).

After enduring this remedial level tech demo we then move onto a section where you have to shoot guards from a balcony with a silenced sniper rifle (why couldn’t you have used that earlier?). Before you do so you have to identify fake guards from the real ones, according to whether or not they have a patch on their arm, which seems like a nice bit of scene-setting. Until you realise that The Order is one of those games that doesn’t trust you to anything on your own, and carefully points out every guard to you with a big blue ‘press the triangle button now’ icon.

What transpires afterwards is the most vanilla third person action we think we’ve ever experienced. The controls and combat work almost identically to Gears Of War, especially in terms of the emphasis on cover, with just a few environmental melee attacks on top. ‘Press triangle to hit the bad guy’s head on the oven!’

The lack of inspiration is staggering, and although we constantly expected the game to do something unexpected, like maybe one of the rebels to turn into a monster or something, or in some way justify the setting and the expense of the graphics it never does. The only vaguely interesting thing is the weapons, which do have alternate modes and a good meaty feel to them, but we didn’t encounter any that were anything other than the usual collection of shotguns, pistols, and machineguns.

Everything in the preview is ruthlessly linear (there are locked doors everywhere, but although you have a lock-picking device it only works on the one door you have to play a mini-game to open) and with almost zero requirement for player ingenuity or improvisation.

And it’s not even as if the graphics are completely flawless. The lighting and level of detail is fantastic, but the facial animation is merely above average and the normal body animation actually fairly poor at times.

More disappointing though is the enemy artificial intelligence, which is so simplistic and clockwork-like it could have come straight out of a PlayStation 2 game. At times the game even seems to specifically tempt you into taking advantage of this, with one section making it impossible to get a bead on enemies that are hiding round a corner, unless you zoom in carefully with the sniper rifle.

At this point you can shoot their hands, which is the only part of them poking round the corner. Time for some impressive next gen physics as the gun goes flying out of their hand with a clang of metal, we thought. But no, they instantly fall down dead. We can only assume out of embarrassment. Next gen gameplay, yeah!

Beyond the visuals there’s nothing in the game, or at least the demo, that couldn’t have been done on a PlayStation 2. Nor is there any sign that developer Ready At Dawn were in the least bit interested in inventing anything new. We haven’t see any of the combat with the monsters yet, but it and the story are going to have to be out of their world to prevent this being a huge disappointment.

Meach, I have to admit. The 3cepts were right. You are a hating ass nig :umad:
How you gonna post gameplay impressions taking away all of these good peoples hope?
THESE ARE GOOD PEOPLE :damn:
At least put a spoiler alert, some of these people have kids. Rekka and Mowgli gotta tell there kids "Look kids, seems like the drought is gonna last until 2016"

Well, Mowgli will do that. Rekka will probably tell his kid "don't worry, UC4 will be here in time for next christmas" :bryan:

*Insert Jessie Jackson speech here*
