shyt seems worse than "ryse with guns":mjlol:

At E3 2014 I was given a 10-minute “gameplay” demo, and I’m saying gameplay in quotation marks because out of the 10 minutes I was playing I maybe had approximately 3 minutes of actual playtime. That is playtime in which I was simply taking out enemies, not really using my own brain. Most of the time I am essentially guided like a tutorial to go in a particular direction, even when I am in a closed off room! Seriously.

At one point in the demo I was in a room listening to the other people in my order talk. I could not interact with anything in the room or anyone I am with. Then, suddenly, I am allowed to interact with a piece of parchment. It shows me the direction I need to take to reach my destination, then suddenly (again) I am allowed to interact with a metal object that I wasn’t able to interact with just 30 seconds ago. I had to explode the metal object, which I knew before I was told to do so. My point is—this is by far the most linear game I have ever played. There is hardly any form of freedom in the game; but from what I was told, that is the point.

But surely y'all not gone jump all over this one like y'all did ryse.

Can't believe the flip flops that go on daily around here :wow:

All the impressions so far tell me not to get too pumped for this. The werewolf in that trailer was cool, but there were literally about 5-7 seconds of a good minute-minute and a half of that encounter where the dude playing didn't have control. I went into watching that trailer wanting to see how cinematic/on-rails it is, and it looks like its really ridiculously on rails so far. My hopes aren't too high for it, though they never were. Its been a while since SMS impressed me. GoW3, probably. Doubt this will be anything great. Kinda out of their lane. Pretty as fukk though, at least. LIke they said.

Ryse with guns. :yeshrug:

Well, there's a playable combat demo on the showfloor and it's been getting pretty good praise. But 'Heavy Rain' sentiment popping up now is a little unfounded I think. The feeling at RAD was to show something other than the shooting, something slower paced and more atmospheric, but again that's hard considering you got 3 minutes or so...

They'll start marketing the game a lot better getting closer to release. There's a bunch of crazy weapons in the game that haven't properly been shown. One even blows limbs off of enemies, literally. Lots of battles with hybrids, calling in airstrikes, setpiece moments, lots of destruction...they just...haven't demonstrated that properly yet. Expect to see that stuff at Gamescom.

game of e3 awards?? surprised.

I'm looking forward to this game. I think it'll be better than what we've seen so far but I'm keeping my expectations for it low.
