Bought the first when it was 7$ on psn and had a lot of fun with it even if its heavy with story and a narrow path from point A to B. I liked the game.... a lot 
It's definitely worth playing. It's a solid game with amazing graphics. The complaints you'll hear will not be about what was wrong with the actual game itself but about what people wish the game could have been based on such a solid foundation they built. Go into it with low expectations and I'm sure you'll be surprised. I went into it thinking it was going to be complete garbage, not fun at all with broken mechanics, and ended up finding a pretty decent game.
