Agreed. But like I said, once people don't have some sort of social involvement or at least an activity that's meaningful, it can easily go downhill. With social exclusion, the individual typically blames everyone else for his/her isolation rather than himself/herself. So even if, say, a guy has sex with a random woman, prositute, etc. that's just a reprieve because at the end of the day, once he goes back into the real world, he'll see everyone else living a seemingly happy life, though in reality many of them aren't. We all need to feel connected or, at the very least, like we have a purpose. It's why even having the most menial of jobs is better than no job at all.
