one thing I’m enjoying is that it seems your choice of mods for your loadouts matters a lot more.

Just did a section where the enemy used a lot of explosives and i tanked them using modded armor

Loved the combat of avowed and the writing of Outer Worlds. If they can keep the writing up to par and give avowed level combat we’re in business

About 20 hours in and I can confirm that we are in fact in business

This and Avowed 2 of my top 5 drops this year

I did too, wish I didn’t select so many skills. I can see where having less this could be really strong with the extra point it gives

@Stone Any of these skills could be swapped out for something else you prefer, but you need to take the Brilliant trait if you want to level your five skills to 18.

Same lol, I big brained thinking my character was gonna be elite at everything. By the time my character gets to level 30 the skill points are gonna be like 8 for everything

My guns and melee weapons are smoking even bosses though so we’re cool. Just finished the 3rd planet

Just wrapped up and long story short I’ll be parked right back here whenever they drop DLC for this one and whenever Avowed 2 drops. Really anything by this studio, may even go back and play Pillars of Eternity at some point.

Finished the first planet, and I am confused about the sentiment towards this game. Gunplay is good, an actual rpg with different paths to complete missions, fun dialogue, lots of customization to make the game your own, and branching quests seem good so far. It feels like one of those games people had their minds made up they're not going to f with it because this legit feels like one of the best RPG games of the gen.

This has been sitting in my backlog since I bought it lol. Only did the opening mission but it’s very polished compared to the first.

I think people run into a door they can't open or a terminal they can't hack and get FOMO.

There's usually another way to accomplish whatever you were trying to do, or just lvl up and come back
