I hate articles like this.
What is being unapologetically black mean?
This is like some code liberal bullshyt IMHO

To buy this article you have to buy that blacks act a certain way and that is racist as hell.
That's what I got from reading the article. Dancing and having a good time makes you unapologetically black. That's what the writer gets from the culture.

Stick to politics, HuffPo:camby:

Cam is just being humble when he says Luke is the heart of the team. Luke isn't the most important player, he's not the face and he's not "the guy": Cam is. Without Cam the Panthers go nowhere; without Kuechly the Panthers can still beat many teams and get to the playoffs. Luke is a great player but he's not the QB and he's not the reason people jeer or cheer for the Panthers. Cam is the reason.

But once again though I don't think you're understanding the difference between someone who is considered the "most important player" due to position and someone who is considered to play with " the most heart".

9 times out of 10 the QB is going to be considered the face of a franchise because that's just how it is. That's how it will always be when you take a media stand point and look from the outside.

Well I guess we agree to disagree. The most important player to a team doesn't have to be the "heart" per se but that player often is. Moreover I think if you ask most people carte blanche who they think is the "heart" of the Panthers' team, who makes the team "tick", they'll say Newton partly because he is the most important player and partly because he is the face of the team. And if that's that people think, then I don't see what legs you have to stand on contradicting the notion.

And unfortunately majority of those people are those who are just part of the hype.

Sure but that doesn't mean they're wrong. If Kuechly were the unabashed heart it would be obvious. Instead it's obvious Cam is the heart. That's why he's on the TV, getting all the commercials and getting all the criticism. This whole assertion that Kuechly is the heart is basically your own invention.

The ones who play with heart on the field are the ones who never get the commercials because that's not what matters to them. Which brings me back to Cam being the voice of the team.

or even the face like you said.

Neither of those should be compared to my original statement.

Since we out here building hypothetical human beings.

I'm sure we can agree that Cam isn't the brains of the team. That's for sure. You don't make comments that take attention away from the biggest game of your life. Especially racial ones.

At no point this season have I seen Cam and the offense have to carry their defense....it was rare if it happened. The defense sets the pace and carries the offense just about every game. Which is why the offense gets so much heat for becoming too conservative after the defense builds large leads.
Saints game?

Except cam has actually backtracked on his comments multiple times. So no they are not "unapologetically" black :francis:

Ali and Jim brown are better examples of black athletes not giving a fukk about what white Americans think.

I concur. Cam backtracked. He's not the hero we deserve.

In my opinion Cam's comments add to his legend, not take away from it. The only people who soured on him were cacs, whom believed a lie anyway if they thought Cam didn't remember all the things they called and still call him. Like Cam said, nothing has changed since then except winning.Similarly a great man once said:
"Be who you are and say what you feel, because those who mind don't matter, and those who matter don't mind."
Since Cam made his comments, all those bandwagoners who only like uncontroversial winners can go find another ass to kiss.

Yeah that game was one of the rare occasions where Cam was forced to win in the clutch. Still even in that game the defense managed to create turnovers for him.

Saints weren't a respectable team and still have one of the worst defenses.

But is the coaching staff okay with his comments? No.

Because Cam's a professional now and that's not what pro's do. I get it though. Freedom of speech and he's a widely popular guy. Dudes just stirrin up the pot.
