Oh I would. I mentioned it a few months ago. I'm into buying a pre-built PC now. OriginPC seems like the best option. I'm done with buying parts, building shyt, and RMA'ing with different companies (and you know I RMA a ton of shyt. I've RMA'd ram and GPU multiple times). OriginPC also has an upgrade plan where you can trade in your old shyt (like GPUs and CPUs and Mobos) and get the latest and greatest. It cost about $1K more (with insurance and the upgrade plan, etc.), but it's worth it to me. I'm done building :blessed:

I don't care what none of you say, I'm going with OriginPC. My next setup will be a monster and it'll continue to be a monster with the 3 year upgrade plan. fukk building shyt and RMAing with different companies. I'm done with that. I'm going to the dark side :manny:

The price between pre built and put together is not really that different

When i built my last system is was only a few 100 dollars and obviously you going to pay that in labor...

That is for high end pre built though like you are talking about...not for that best buy bullshyt...

Gonna get me a new gaming rig whenever the 1080 ti drops...i might just have it pre built myself...into my 30's now and the novelty of building my own system is pretty much gone...been doing that half my life...

Just hope I can hold out for the 1080 ti...my wife straight punked me for my 780's forcing me to get the 980's i currently have and now she starting to punk me for the 980's talking about "i mean how much better could the the 1080 ti's be than the 1080's...might as well go ahead and get them"

I'm trying to be strong but it's hard :sadcam::to::sadbron:

Can any of you brehs help me with a computer problem I'm having? :ld:

I let windows update itself cause I wanted to play overwatch........and now my pc is stuck on a infinite restart loop. :francis:

I can give more details if neccesary. But to make it short, right now I'm trying to get it to boot from a burned windows recovery dvd, and a registry edit dvd. But I cant get into my BIOS so I can set it to load the dvd first. I'm using a toshiba, and I tried using f2, and I tried esc+f1. But none of that worked
:mjcry:

Help me brehs :to:

It seems like the last security update fukked up a lot of PCs (mine included)

Let it boot up, it'll fail, let it try to fix it, that'll fail, then boot up by allowing unsigned drivers (which should work). Then run the command prompt and type in sfc /scannow

That found a ton of corrupted files for me and fixed them all (fortunately). My computer has been golden since. If that doesn't work, test out your ram and hdd. If that doesn't do anything, then it's clean install.....

That's exactly how I feel. Once I move to DC, I'm gonna save up a bit and get an OriginPC with 2 Titan X Pascals in it with the 3 year warranty and upgrade plan. Yeah, it might cost $5k, but it woulda cost $4.5K if I did it myself, so it's worth the extra $500. Plus that upgrade plan :ohlawd:

I'm in my 30s too. I'm done building shyt. It's mainly for the warranty and upgrade path for me. I'm sick and tired of dealing with multiple companies when it comes to RMAing shyt. I have the worst luck, so it seems like every PC I build I gotta RMA shyt (I've RMA'd ram, 4 (fukking 4!) GPUs, etc.). Buying a pre-built just makes sense :manny:

Sorry I took so long to reply, it took a while to upload a video from my phone

When I let it boot up I get the toshiba splash screen for 2 minutes, then goes black, then dim, then starts over again. I doesnt say anything about fixing... it just restarts. I let it run for 2 hours this morning and thats all it did

VID 20160722 185507

I'm not very experienced with this breh, How do I boot up by allowing unsigned drivers? How do I test ram and hdd?

Well, you have to let it boot up after restarting and it'll give you a screen. Choose advanced options and the boot up with unsigned drivers (I think it's option 7 on win10 if I remember correctly). But it sounds like you can't even get to that screen, so I dunno what to say

Memtest86+ tests ram (you gotta download it, burn it to a disc or put it on a thumb drive and then let it run overnight)

WinDFT can do an extended SMART test on your HDD, but you gotta be in Windows for that, which sounds like something you can't do now.

I'm kinda at a loss to be honest, if you can't even get windows to try and fix the error at startup, none of my solutions will help you.

I guess your next option is to use another computer, download your mobo's updated BIOS and try and fix it that way.

I really don't know breh. Sorry. I know computer problems suck, so I feel for you.

Hopefully somebody else on here has some other suggestions, because I'm at a loss.

If not, you might have to bite the bullet and take it to a proffesional

I cant give up yet, I have to keep trying. Thanks for the suggestions breh.

Just so you know, after I made my post, I was able to get into my BIOS. I changed to boot order to have dvd first, and tried to boot up two burned dvds........ But none of that worked :mjcry:

Is there anything I can do in BIOS that will help? (Hopefully I get back in there)

I was thinking of putting my 1080s in my old machine and using the Titan Pascals for 1440pX3. We'll see. I might just wait and buy an OriginPC with the Titan Pascals in it though. Gotta lot of thinking to do :jbhmm:
I say pass on the Titans and get the inevitable 1080 ti

I gotta move out there. I'm in Houston currently and I start my new job in DC on 8/15. It's a good job too. No more boring medical research. It's a UX job, testing a variety of things (including new tech). :blessed:
Salute and congrats. Make sure you get a nice raise. Cost of living in DC is high as fukk, especially when compared to Houston.

Yup. After my previous build nearly burnt down my house, i went and bought a prebuilt Asus gaming PC with a 3 year warranty via Frys. Best decision i could have ever made.

shyt works flawlessly.
