I see you went with just one 1080 (which I'll assume you'll sell after the Ti version comes out)Finally broke down and upgraded my system a bit. Decided against the Titan XP since I know a Ti will eventually arrive.

Have any of you ever swapped cases?
I remember when I did my build and putting in my motherboard was a bytch the first time lol. That's the reason I have been putting it off.Yes, went from an NZXT Source 210 to a Corsair Carbide 300R
Was simple, just had to make sure the old parts were safe as I started the swap

I wish I could get away from the sli shyt, but it's not possible yet at 3 and 4K, all ultra 60fps
I'm surprised you went with a 6700k. I figured you'd go for the new X99 chips.
Yeah, this last year has been TERRIBLE for SLI. It seems to get worse and worse every year. I still keep buying 2 cards though. All I play is Don't Starve and SFV when I get the chance. I downsized my rig from ATX X99 (900D) to mITX (NZXT Phantom). None of the X99 mITX boards caught my attention. They all have weird layouts on where headers are located. I picked this board cause it was one of the simplest to manage cables without one going across the GPU and shyt.
Yeah, I'll be selling the 1080 shyt once the Ti drops so no point in getting a Titan XP. I personally can't tell the difference between 4K and 1440P on 27" screens so I'll stick with the latter for now. I been SLI'ing since 570s, shyt got too ugly last year for me to keep on that wagon. It's not only games that have issues with it. When Nvidia came out with features like DSR, Shadowplay, GSYNC, etc, they all had some sort of issue with SLI which took at the least a year to fix. fukk that.
Got mine open box for 629 at micro center. If dual cards were considered nowadays I,'d fukk with it but it's not so fukk it.Yeah, this last year has been TERRIBLE for SLI. My 1080s slice through everything at 3K (on my ultrawide 1440p monitor). I don't need the extra power, but I want it. $2400 is within my budget, but it's still a lot to spend on GPUs when you don't need the extra power. I should just make the smart decision and wait. I assume they'll be $900-$1000, since the 1080 founders edition is $700. We'll see...

For real, I don't blame you. You know how frustrating SLI can be.Got

I sold all my furniture (I always do when I move). Be prepared to pay $1500 for a studio or $2000 for a 1 bedroom. So far I like Arlington a lot. It's expensive as hell, but it's the shyt. I'm right in the heart of the city.
You don't need dp for 1440p, you can use dvi cables. DP does carry audioI'm moving to Palmdale/Lancaster area. The job giving me 5k for my troubles.
So do I need to use display port to get 1440p? Does that shyt carry audio?
