My computer just abruptly shut down just now while trying out Tomb Raider maxed out. I quickly went into the bios and it was at 75c.

I oc'd the CPU to 4.10 ghz from stock @ 3.6ghz. Idle temps hover anywhere from 20 to 35 degrees but with a full load 60-70. After another try, I quickly atl+tabbed while playing and it was at like 79 degrees.I think I'm going to go back to stock and see how my performance is on games.I'm going to order a new cpu cooler.
The card the guy at Microcenter gave me only said it's for Bioshock Infinite but I got back two codes for FC3:BD and Infinite and I still got two more cards.

Got back six codes. Cotdayum!

How many fps do u get with Tomb Raider with Tress Fx on?..

at 1080P with all the settings on ultra except shadows and level of detail, 56 max, 42 average and that's with Sweetfx which also improves the image at the cost of a few fps.

At 1440p, I get 30ish average with same settings and tressfx. If Sweetfx is cut off then you get more frames and I can knock a setting down to get an even smoother framerate.

Yea I turn TressFX all the way off cause its kinda pointless and looks kinda weird to me..lol...I also turn off motion blur...and either put depth of field to its lowest or off...all of those things actually either are pointless or doesn't make the game look as good to me...and boost the shyt outta my framerate...all at 1080p..game is great by the way...
