I saw a bruh on TikTok say “if you want to buy a gaming computer, but you think it’s too expensive, go buy a Dell Optiplex, and throw in a GPU in it. What’s anyone’s thoughts on this? Can I build a gaming computer for $800? If so, can anyone point me in the right direction, or make me a list of what I’ll need?

I would worry about the PSU (power source). they use cheap parts in those Dells. if the PSU isn't strong enough your GPU might not work, or it could fry the PSU (and that could take out other components, and even possibly catch fire)

and like @Orbital-Fetus said, you might not even be able to fit a GPU in there. there would also probably be issues with the airflow

$800 is kinda low, but you could definitely put something together for that price. pcpartpicker.com is a great site to help you pick out parts that are compatible. they also have a "completed builds" section where you can see other people's builds, and sort them by total price

Yo, wondering if abyone could help on this lol so I recently installed cyberpunk 2077 on my new laptop through steam. I had it on a previous PC, so the saves tranferred over from the cloud. Upon launching the game on the new laptop, I found that my saves after being say...level 23 (like 23-42 for example) would not load. It would just crash to the desktop immediately. However, every save prior to level 23, would load. And new games would initiate also if I started one. So...I figured that perhaps, the cloud transfer didnt complete properly, so I uninstalled and reinstalled and let everything transfer locally. However, the problem STILL persisted. It would only load level 23 and prior.

I dont think the files are corrupted because it loads on my old PC. And there arent any mods that exist on those saves, that dont already exist on the level 23 saves. So I'm eveb more at a loss, any ideas?

Try doing it through the GOG Galaxy client maybe?

yeah id do this, see if u can salvage them from there. 2077 on pc got a lot of weird issues with save files

Yep. Im upgrading too. Gonna provide pics when my shyt gets here. Im keeping my current old 6900xt GPU tho. Its fine for what i use for. Im upgrading my nieces GPU first tho. Rtx 5080 at $999 are starting to be more available. I might snag a 9070xt for my self if I can get a good deal on it like $600
