What I find disturbing is how well two 760s@$250 perform in SLI. :merchant:

Starting at just $249, this mid-range GPU (760) is 12% faster than the $299 GeForce GTX 660 Ti and 23% faster than the GeForce GTX 660.

see that goes both ways. it's better than the more expensive 660ti. but 23% faster, and 25% more expensive, than the 660 (notice they don't mention the price of the 660)

ISN'T THAT GENERALLY HOW IT GOES THOUGH? AFTER A CERTAIN POINT THE DOLLAR/PERFORMANCE RATIO GOES UP.

Defintely not but you always pay a huge premium to be on top though the Titan was overly ridiculous with it. Especially after they released the 780 which comes within a few frames of it @ $350 less. :childplease:

The fact of the matter is they have no competition in the high end. Nvidia has had their mid tier shyt competing with AMD's high end throughout Kepler's life cycle. Even when the 680 was their top dog it was still just Nvidia's mid tier GPU as they had no need to pull big Kepler out the bag. Until AMD comes out and starts killing them they are free to do whatever they want. :to:

yep, I was gonna mention that. the cheaper cards do tend to have the best cost/performance ratio. it's just interesting to see how it unfolds like that, within a relatively short amount of time, and within a $100 price range. that 660ti came out less than a year ago, and now you'd be a fool to buy it. the same with the Titan. it's like nvidia moves too fast for their own good

my unopened 770 is going back for the 760 (future sli), which will probably go back for the 760ti and so forth

What company you know releases all their shyt at once?

none out of the two major gpu manufacturers :heh:

I was just saying what I want a consumer, so I can make an educated purchase that I won't regret in two weeks. I would think you could sympathize with that...

No sympathy. I usually don't do value per dollar shopping. :manny:

so why did you go from titans to 780's?

I purposely purchased the Titans within a month of the 780 release just so that I could be within return window in case they performed similar to Titans. Being that when both are overclocked to their maxes they both perform the same they were returned.

Thanks for asking :rudy:
