it won't move the music for you (I don't think). you have to move all the files yourself, then tell itunes where the new folder is

I think it still uses the /music folder in your documents for some other data though. I just checked and mine has like 0.9 gb of album-artwork, and all those backup lists of my library

Yeah, I have all my music on a different drive, but my album art is at like 13gb for some reason. And then it puts all my apps there too. I wish it would fukking save fukking iphone. I wish I could use a different program, like MediaMonkey

You're not accounting for the huge page file windows creates on larger drives. Nor are you for reserved spaces for your recycling bin, system restore, and hibernation mode. These can easily add up to 40GB+.

Okay. Hopefully that won't be a problem in the future. But I guess I can deal with that when the time comes.

Crazy price drop on the 7990. Some models can be had now for under $700 including 8 games. Not to mention the fixed frame pacing drivers came out last week.


It's EOL now though so it won't last long,

word, they wanted to compete with the titan/690 market because of the obvious specs but really was up against the 780

I need help choosing a new graphics card...I'm looking to do some light gaming (I've never been a PC gamer before) and use it to watch movies/etc on my TV.

Here's my setup:
CPU AMD Phenom II X6 1090T Black 3.2GHz 6-Core
Motherboard Asus M4A88TD-M/USB3 Micro ATX AM3
Case Cooler Master HAF X ATX Full Tower
Power Supply CoolMax 500W ATX12V

I'd like to stay under $100 if possible...but ok with going over if it really gets me something that will last awhile.

Any suggestions??

I tried that so many times last night. It will not save for some reason. Every time I put it to my data drive, it automatically goes back to C: when I restart the app. shyt is really pissing me off.

The saved games isn't a big deal, except when you consider games like Skyrim, but I guess I could delete a lot of those saves anyway. I'll keep trimming

You have to click on the each user folder and change the path/location.

Here's how I did it:

I copied all of my non-OS essential files (music, games, pics, videos) onto an external hard drive to get it to a manageable size (~80 GB). Also uninstalled programs completely to achieve this
I partioned by C drive, leaving just enough space to house the OS and other files (Essentially keeping the partion around 80GB
Copied C partition to the SSD
BIOS to boot up from SSD
Once there, I formatted my old HDD completely, moved all the files back to the HDD. Reinstalled the programs into the HDD
Went in C (now on SSD) and linked each folder to it's equivalent on the HDD
Manually had to go into programs (steam, origin, browsers, etc) and changed the path/reference directories/download directories to the HDD.

You want to make sure to leave space on the SSD for library files (.dll) and any future updates/upgrades. I have about 25 GB free on the SSD after migrating windows. As soon as I re-installed Microsoft Visual Studio to the HDD, the libaries and system files took about 4 gigs on the SSD. You have to make sure to account for that.
